So in my last topic we discussed expanding the MCC for conquest matches, having individual staging areas for arial and ground vehicles adding artillery banks and localised tacnet buffs.
So what about transport? We know we have Light and Heavy Attack Vehicles, plus "dropships" In conquest that's not gonna be enough for transport optionsfor a 5+ù5km map.
So let's designate some transport vehicles.
LTV: Speeders, these will be primary transport for small squads or lone players, no weaponry 2 seats, small enough to avoid swarm lock on. Fast nimble and rather quite, at least by comparison to other options. Passengers should prehaps be able to fire a sidearm to eliminate pursuers.
MTV: Lav's without the turret, specifically designed for squads 2 in the front, 4 in the back. A better tank than an equivalent LAV, designed for rapid skirmishes, easiest to alight from.
HTV: APC's, these are transport options for large fire teams 2-3 squads. 1 driver, 1 light turret and 6 passengers. The dropships of ground vehicles. However since their is so little defemse expect them to have MASSIVE tank, otherwise you'll never see them. The driver is the operator of the turret to allow suppression of enemies while the troops unload.
LATV: Dropships, pure and simple, just like now, designed purely for infantry.
MATV: Like a Chinnock, a much larger version of a dropship, capable of holding up 2 full squads (12 men) or 1 MTV and 6 men. 4 thrusters as opoosed to the dropships 2 a d 3 light turrets as opposed to 2.
HATV: Effectively a Globemaster, can hold upto 4 full squads at a time, or a HTV/HAV / 4 MTV/LAV + 2 full squads. The absolute end game for mass transport if you see 2 or 3 of these things heading your way expect a good fight.

The map you play on is actually 1/25th of the full scale map created by the dev team, eventually we will play on the whole thing in 'conquest' matches with potentially hundreds of people at a time.

That looks pretty damn awsome, I imagine that's the ground equivalent of an MCC. Will probably provide localised ground support and tacnet buffs. Like inter-squad vision.

snip I love going for a drive. I hate being a passenger because the game tunnel-visions passengers. Passengers should get some kind of 3rd person view with a button push. Any kind of expanded view even a minimal one would be better. This is a really neat option for squads opting for a more stealthy QRF approach over zooming through the sky.
Yeah I'd love for passangers to get a better view. The idea was the MTV made for a skirmish vehicle to allow the quick of load of troops. It also facilitates stealth quite well especially for Ghosts Squads

After 100m Transport you get a WP commision. However I would probably say,
You also get a fixed 10WP per 200m per person. You also get a fixed 15 WP per 200m per LAV/MTV You also get a fixed 20WP per 200m per HTV/MAV You also get a fixed 25WP per 200m per HAV Then boost the Commision to 20% of WP earned within 5mins OR within 100m of the point where they alighted from, requires at least 500m of Transport That way if you send a HATV worths of people to facility in preperation for an attack, even if the attackers don't turn up until 6mims later you still get rewarded for the eforts of the troops you delivered.
